Dedicated to the memory of Alexander Ure Stewart (Alastair) .

Alexander Ure Stewart passed away on 1st February 2021, aged 77.

Alastair as he was known moved to Winchester  in 1960 from Falkirk. He spent his younger years living in St Johns Street with his Mum, Dad and siblings .

Soon after meeting Marilyn, who he made his wife July 30th 1966.

Alastair and  Marilyn had two daughters. Paula and Julie, and Donna, who they took in as a teenager and became part of the family. Alastair  was blessed with tribe of grandchildren and great grandchildren, he adored them and the craziness that came with  them.

Over the years Alastair had many different jobs..He was jack of all trades , from a builder, baker a candlestick maker, taxi driver, window cleaner and inmate!!

Always a likable character and lovable rogue slowing down as he entered his Grandad years.

2015 an injury caused when he fell of his ladder changed his life. His health deteriorated and his COPD began to make his daily life difficult.

Jan 2020 the COPD took hold and throughout the next year there was many hospital admissions  leading up until he passed away with his daughter Paula beside him.

Alastair will be missed greatly by family and the many who knew him. 

The family  have requested no flowers however contributions towards their chosen charity would be appreciated.
